Add or Resign Company Directors
Learn how to add or resign directors of your Singapore company with CSP
Use the Add or Resign Directors service request to appoint a new or to resign an existing director of your Singapore company. The company must be enrolled on the CSP platform to request this service.
With the same service request, you can appoint and/or resign at the same time any number of directors.
For the removal of directors, please refer to the Remove Directors service request.
For this request, you will be required to:
- Select the newly appointed and/or resigned directors
- Provide personal details for any new persons
- Make a payment, and
- Sign the necessary documents.
How to Start
You can start the Add or Resign Directors request at any time from the New Request page. The service request is a part of the Company Administration services category.

Step-by-step Instructions
Submit Request Step
On this step, you are required to select the newly appointed directors and/or the resigned directors and provide the effective date of this change.
You are not required to complete the form to SUBMIT the request to the staff if you have any questions. However, you must meet all the required information to move to further steps.

Company Information
For your reference, your Company Name, UEN, and ACRA Business Profile are displayed in this section. You can download your ACRA Business Profile by clicking on the icon.
To view the complete company profile and all associated documents for all your companies that are enrolled on CSP, select the My Companies link in the left navigation menu.
Change Directors
The Change Directors section displays the list of all company persons of your Singapore company. The existing directors are marked with Current director? checkboxes. To appoint as a director or resign any persons from the list, select the corresponding checkbox.
If your new directors were not previously added to your Company Persons list on CSP, you would need to add each of them and their details to the Members and Officers before appointing them as directors.
Every company that is registered in Singapore must have at least one director who is a resident of the country
If you don't have a local person who can act as a resident director, you can subscribe to our Nominee Director service by switching on 'Would you like to subscribe to our Nominee Director service?' to Yes.
To add a new person, click on the ADD button. The Add New Members, and Officers window will be displayed to complete the personal information on each of the new members.
You are not required to complete the entire form before submitting the request to our staff. You can come back to this form at any time. To add missing details of a new person, select the necessary entry in the Change Directors table and click EDIT.
Please note, personal details of each newly added person must be completed for the process to move to its further steps.
Each new person added to the Members and Officers list through this service request must be appointed as a director (that is, marked as Appoint as Director? in the Change Directors table).
You will be able to resign (that is, mark as Resign?) only the existing directors of your company.
Effective Date
In this section, please complete the effective date of your appointed and/or resigned directors.
Check Data For Completeness
Use the CHECK FOR COMPLETENESS button to ensure that you have provided all the required information to process your request. The system will show you the list of missing information, if any.

Staff Attachments Section
The staff member may attach documents for your reference or examples of documents that you need to provide. These files will be displayed in the Staff Attachments section. To view the document in your browser, simply click on its name.
Client Attachments Section
The Client Attachments section will be displayed if the staff member has asked you to attach any document(s). Review the instructions from the staff member in the Messages section.
Click the ADD button to attach a document.

Service Fees
Based on your needs, the staff member will communicate the applicable charges. The Service Fees section will display a breakdown of all the applicable charges.

Billing Details
This section displays the billing information of your company for your reference.
Bill To field will be populated with your company name and the Billing Address with the registered address of your Singapore company.
The information from the Billing Details section is used for the proforma invoice during your payment.

Review Request Step
After you submit the request, the staff member will review the information you provided. The staff member will answer your questions (or provide additional instructions) in the Messages section. Learn more about how to communicate with the staff member in CSP. If the staff member requires any clarifications, the request will be assigned to you. You will be notified by email when the request is assigned back to you.
You can also monitor progress of the Request from your dashboard.
Once all the necessary information has been received, the request will be assigned to you and moved to the Confirm and Pay step.
Confirm and Pay Step
In this step, you will be required to make a payment for this service request.
Refer to the Service Fees section to see a breakdown of the service fee. In the Billing Details section, the automatically generated proforma invoice for this payment will be attached.
If you have any questions or require clarification about the charges, enter them in the Messages, and click the REQUEST CLARIFICATION button.
The staff member will review your comments and respond promptly.
If you are ready to proceed with the payment, click the MAKE PAYMENT button. It will take you to the My Payments page.

Confirm Payment Step
On this step, a staff reviews and confirms your payment.
If your payment is in order, the request will be moved to the next, Prepare Documents for Signatures step. If a staff has any questions or requires clarifications, the request will be moved to the Payment Clarifications step.
Payment Clarifications Step
You will be assigned with this step only if a staff requires any payment-related or other clarifications from you at this point. Please refer to the Messages section to see a message from our staff.
Prepare Documents for Signatures Step
The system will generate all the documents that need to be signed. The staff member will review the documents for accuracy. After the review, the staff member will send the service request to you to sign the documents.
Sign Documents Step
On this step, all signatories will be requested to sign the documents electronically. If any newly added persons were appointed as directors, the new signatories would also need to verify their identities.

The request will automatically move to the next step after all signatories have verified their identities and electronically signed the incorporation documents.
Review Signed Documents Step
The staff member will review the signed documents for accuracy.
If the staff member requires additional information, the request will be assigned to you at the Sign Documents step.
Update ACRA Step
The staff member updates your company record in ACRA with the new director information and retrieves the updated ACRA Business Profile.
Final QA Step
In this step, the staff reviews and verifies the full information for this service request. If everything is in order, the request will be moved to the next step.
Close Workflow Step
The services you requested have been delivered, and this request is now ready to be closed.
The completed service requests will be shown in the Completed Requests section.
