How to transfer your existing company with CSP

To transfer your existing Singapore company to CSP, start the Transfer Existing Company service request. In this request, you will describe your needs and ask your questions, so our staff can provide you with the appropriate assistance. Once you are ready to transfer your company, our staff will collect the information needed to enroll your company on CSP. Once your company is enrolled on CSP, you can manage your company and request additional services through the Platform.

Transferring your company to CSP is FREE!

We do not charge any fees to transfer your company to CSP. We will prepare all necessary documents required for the transfer and will interface with ACRA as necessary at our own cost.

This article will guide you through the steps involved in transferring your already incorporated company to CSP.

How and Where To Begin

You can start the Transfer Existing Company service request as you would start any other request.

Alternatively, follow the steps described in the How and Where To Begin section of the Incorporate Your First Company article. Instead of selecting the option for Incorporation Inquiry, select the Transfer Existing Company service request.

Step-by-step Instructions

Enter Company Details

In the first step, you will be asked to select the services you need along with your company transfer and provide the essential details about your company.

The following sections will be displayed on the service request form:

Select Services

The Select Services section contains the available services we provide within the transfer company process. To learn more of them, click on the help icon to the right of the service, or describe your questions in the Your Questions section and SUBMIT the service request form to our staff.

Company Details

The Company Details section is designed to collect all the information about your company required for transfer. At the Enter Company Details step, you will need to provide its basic information, such as company name, UEN, registered address, company KYC information, etc.

When a staff returns this request to you on the same Enter Company Details step, they may display the extended company information section. This section will collect the complete profile of your Singapore company.

The extended company information section contains the following sections:

Members & Officers Details

Click ADD to add an entry about each person that plays a key role in your company.

The Add New Person window will be displayed below. It is a standard window for adding a new company person, and it will be used in some of the other CSP workflows.

To create a new company person, complete their identification details, upload supporting documents, and provide contact information in this window. You can click SAVE at any point and add the rest of the information at a later time. Most of these fields are required in order to proceed with the transfer of your company, but you can SUBMIT the request to staff without completing them. To check what information is missing, click on the CHECK COMPANY DATA FOR COMPLETENESS button.

Please note, here you can also add companies that are corporate shareholders of your company. To do so, change the Person Type from Individual to Company.

When you ADD each new director or auditor, the following window will appear. Click on the Name field to expand a drop-down of your company persons, previously added to the Members and Officers table.

If you are adding a director or auditor not previously added to the Members and Officers table, click on the Add Person option in the drop-down. You will see the same Add New Persons window as described above.

Corporate Representatives

When you ADD a new corporate representative, the window will appear as shown below. The Authorised Representative drop-down will list all the individuals, and the Authorised Representative For drop-down - all the companies that you have previously added to the Members and Officers table.

You will be required to provide a corporate representative only if you have added a corporate shareholder to the Members and Officers table.

Connected Parties

When you ADD a new Connected Parties, the following window will appear. Provide the required information about each Party related to your company.

Check Company Data For Completeness

Click on this button at any point to check what information is still missing or is incorrect on your form. You do not have to complete all the required information to SUBMIT the request to the staff. And ask any questions or clarifications. However, the request can move to the next steps of company transfer only after all information is complete and correct.

Service Fees

This section will display the total due for this workflow based on your selections of services.

In the Billing Details section, please provide your bill to and billing address information. It will be used in a Proforma invoice generated on the further steps. After your company is transferred to CSP, your company's name and registered address will be used as its billing information.

Submit Inquiry

Once you have provided the company information or described your questions or clarifications, you can submit the service request by clicking on the SUBMIT button in the Submit Inquiry section or clicking on the SUBMIT button on the toolbar.

If you are not ready to submit your request, you can save your work and come back to finish it later.

After a staff returns this form to you, they may display the following additional sections:

Staff Attachments

The staff member may attach documents for your reference or examples of documents that you need to provide. These files will be displayed in the Staff Attachments section. To view the document in your browser, simply click on its name. To download the document attached, click on the line item with the document. The Staff Attachment pop-up will be displayed. Click on the cloud icon with an arrow pointed downwards alt text to download the document on your computer.

Client Attachments

If you are required to upload a file, you will see a Client Attachment section. If you need help with uploading or downloading documents, see the article on how to upload and download documents.

Click the ADD button to attach a document.

Review Company Details

After you submit the request, a staff member will carefully review the information you provided in your initial inquiry and will answer your questions (if any) in the Messages section. If the staff member needs additional information, they will ask for it in this section. In these cases, the staff will assign the request to you on the same Enter Company Information step. You can repeat the communication cycle with our staff as many times as you wish. When all your questions have been answered, and you are ready to proceed with the transfer, the staff will send you to the Confirm and Pay step. In this step, you will pay for the recurring services you select for your company. You will be notified by email whenever the request is ready for your action. You can monitor the progress of the Request.

When the request is ready to move further, staff will assign it to you on the Confirm and Pay step.

Complete Payment

When you are ready to proceed with incorporating your new company, you can complete payment for the selected services.

If you have questions or comments before making a payment:

  1. Use thealt text icon to ask any questions.
  2. When the staff member responds to your questions, you will receive a reply in the Messages icon.

If you are ready to make a payment:

  1. Click the MAKE PAYMENT button on the top bar.
  2. You will be redirected to My Payments page.

Prepare Documents For Signatures

On this step, a staff member will:

  • Perform any legally mandated Know-Your-Client (KYC) due diligence on the Directors, Officers, and Shareholders
  • Perform a Compliance assessment of your company to ensure that it is not currently in violation of any ACRA regulations. If we discover any correctable violations, we will advise you on the steps to mitigate the violations.

Also, in this step, the staff member will configure the necessary documents to transfer your Singapore company to CSP, and the system will generate all the required documents.

The staff member will review the documents for accuracy. After the review, the staff member will send the service request to you to sign the documents.

During this process, the staff may request additional information from you. When the staff member needs additional information, the request will be assigned to you to the previous step, and it will appear on your dashboard with a status of Enter Company Profile.

Sign Documents

In this step, the signatories will be requested to verify their identities and electronically sign the documents.

You are not required to do anything on the service request form. If you have any questions, you can ask them in the Messages section and click the REQUEST ASSISTANCE button. Your communication with the staff member will not interfere with the document signing process.

The request will automatically move to the next step after all signatories verify their identities and sign the incorporation documents.

Review Signed Documents

The staff member will review the signed documents for accuracy and collect all the necessary internal signatures.

Once all the signatures are in order and the identity of each person has been verified, the service request will move to the Update ACRA step.

Update ACRA

In this step, staff will update your company information with ACRA and upload the new ACRA Business Profile to the system.

Final QA

The staff makes a review and confirmation of the complete information on your service request and checks the accuracy of ACRA filing information and payment.

If corrections are needed, staff will return the request to the previous Update ACRA step.

Close Workflow

This is the final step of the Transfer Your Company service request. The staff member makes a final review of the information and confirms that your company's account is configured for the additional services you have requested.
